How many sessions will I need?

Most patients begin with a  6 treatment series with maintenance sessions as needed. The number of sessions will be determined by the severity of incontinence and how you respond to treatment. Some women regain bladder control after a single session, but most need more than that.  A common treatment plan includes two weekly sessions spread out over three weeks.

How does Emsella work?

This chair utilizes high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy. One single Emsella session effects thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions which are extremely important in muscle re-education of incontinent patients. HIFEM technology is able to create numerous supramaximal contractions. These contractions are independent of brain function and are more than can be achieved by voluntary muscles alone. This kind of revolutionary technology allows individuals to maximize pelvic muscle strength more than they ever thought imaginable. Because this medical-grade technology activates neurons and stimulates intense muscle contractions, these contractions effectively improve vaginal laxity and address urinary incontinence.

Individuals don’t have to worry about enduring weeks of painful pelvic floor exercises, or extremely painful surgeries in order to experience a strong pelvic floor. With the Emsella, you’re able to experience 11,260 kegel exercises in a single 30-minute session just by sitting in a chair!

After Emsella treatment sessions, men and women are able to experience life without the burden of constantly looking for a nearby restroom or spending thousands of dollars a year on perineal pads. Not only do men and women report a reduction or complete absence of urinary incontinence with the Emsella Chair, but they also report experiencing increased excitability with intimacy.

Does Emsella hurt?

Emsella should never be painful. Most men and women feel vibrations following a ticking sensation. Patients may notice mild muscular pain in the pelvic region. This is normal and subsides after no more than a few hours after a session.
